Why markdown?

PhoenixWiki's Markdown support is something we are really proud of. Markdown was chosen because it is widely used and helps show off information in a nice visual way when paired with Rich Text.

What will be covered?

In this section we will teach how to use Wiki's Markdown, how to add more programming languages to its code blocks, and how to use the engine outside the built-in wiki screen.

Currently, its support is focused on mainstream Markdown, as it excludes some features such as Mermaid and LaTeX. These will be added if sufficient demand for them appears, but as of now they were cut for scope reasons.
